Mould Testing

Our mould testing services
Air Testing
Air is pulled through a cartridge for a fixed amount of time, at a fixed rate. The cartridge captures mould spores, which are analysed by the lab. The amount and profile of mould inside the property is compared to the mould outside the property.
Surface Testing
A sticky piece of tape is pressed against the suspected mouldy surface, removed and sealed, and the tape sent to the lab for analysis.
Carpet Testing
Mould is often hard to identify in carpets. In this test, a small section(s) of carpet is vacuumed into a cartridge which is sent to the lab for analysis, which will show levels of types of mould found.
Viable (RODAC) Testing
Mould spores are captured via a RODAC plate, or swab, and sent to the lab where they try to grow mould from the spores captured. This will confirm if the mould spores found are “viable”, or inactive; hence this test is often used after treatment.
Particle Analysis
Particle analysis looks at the concentration of certain sizes of particles in the air. We know the size of mould spores and can determine what the total count of “mould-sized” particles is in the location, and whether it reduces after treatment. This test can complement other forms of testing.
ATP Mould Testing
ATP testing measures the cleanliness of a surface by detecting organic matter. It’s used in many industries, including food processing, healthcare, and hospitality.
